The concept of the project revolves around the need for having immigrant stories and hardships heard in order to elevate the support available to immigrants and to change the perspectives of non-immigrants or those opposing concept of immigrants. The project is also aimed to pull on the strings of familiarity in immigrants or children of immigrants who may have experienced the exact or similar stories. The nostalgic pieces from the “Belonging” Visual book and the “Immigrant” Passport are abstract publications intended to provoke thought and interest to better understand immigrants and for immigrants to not feel that they are not alone in their experiences.
